Plato’s Allegory of the Cave… and the Truth about Trading


Twenty four hundred years ago, Plato, one of  history’s most famous thinkers, said life is like being chained up in a cave forced to watch shadows on a stone wall. This made me think of all the false truths fed to self-directed retail day traders. All you have to do is go look at some of the free trading forums on the Net to see all the people who are still locked in the Cave of unrealistic expectations. //www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RWOpQXTltA I hope this will make you think a little bit.  So that, the next time you re on a public trading forum and you see people complaining about a trading system having losing trades (as if any system would ever have 100% wins), think about the reality of trading and that it is not a matter of just the ideal perfect signal. Instead, it is more a matter of honing one s craft and merging science (mathematical algorithms) and art (practiced technique).  Come into the light!  P.S.
